May I present Loki Laufeyson, Norse God of Mischief and most recently of notable fame in Marvel’s films 'Thor' and ‘the Avengers’.
I drew the design myself referencing a photo of the impeccable Tom Hiddleston as Loki, along with the font ‘Slayer’ for the text. The rune behind him is Ansuz from the Elder Futhark, and while it’s typically associated with Odin the rune also represents magic and divine power which I felt suited Loki. It's stitched on a 14"x11" artist canvas like the kind you find at a craft store with embroidery floss.
When I was a little girl Loki was one of my favorite figures in Norse mythology and after finally seeing ‘Thor’ a few months ago I feel like I’ve rediscovered a childhood friend. Once I finish reading ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ I want to start the ‘Journey into Mystery’ comics but I’m kind of intimidated as to where to start, so I’d be very appreciative of any suggestions.
The God of Mischief doesn’t belong to me; Loki is the intellectual property of Marvel and himself.
